"In the mood for something a little more deadly?
The Vella had just the thing to hit the spot.
Just one sip is all it takes and you will be tossing Divas."

The Vella Performance Ensemble presents to you a woeful story so great,
only those who truly believe can see it. It's a tale bound by destiny to
endure and prevail. For once you hear it, or see it, your heart is never quite the same.

Regional Results

Tampa
Regional

The Vella Performance Ensemble performed in their very first regional, not to mention their very first SHOW, this past weekend in Tampa, Florida. After prelims, the guard was tied for second with a 74.9. In finals, the guard placed 3rd with a 72.7, and were overwhelmed by the positive response they received. The guard is now preparing for their second regional in Jacksonville...

Jacksonville Regional

The First Coast regional was quite an experience for The Vella. After waking up at 5 a.m. to "excercise" their bodies, the guard was ready to perform at 9:28. Although there were only about 25 people in the stands, the colorguard pulled off a great show. When the placements were posted, The Vella was in third, with a 75.7 behind Alliance A (76.7) and Mystique (76.1). During finals, the guard was able to perform for a significantly larger crowd and retained their third place ranking with a 78.2, behind Alliance A (80.0) and Mystique (81.9). Overall, the colorguard had a great experience at the First Coast Regional, and will be attending their last regional of the season in South Florida on March 27th.

Lake Mary
Circuit Show

The Vella Performance Ensemble would like to thank Lake Mary High School and the FFCC Circuit for making our trip a very memorable one. Thank you also to Lake Howell ( and Corey McKnight) for their help with our floor and props. All in all, the trip to Lake Mary was great for The Vella. We were able to perform in a circuit setting with a VERY welcoming crowd. The Vella received first place with a score of 81.3.

South Florida Regional

The Vella was glad to be home, and quite ready to perform for the South Florida crowd. Prelims left The Vella in second place with a 80.6. With a new panel of judges for finals, The Vella received a 80.5. This whole regional would have been a mess had it not been for the Tarpon Springs Staff, Colorguard, and Floor Crew; the parents that volunteered to sit at the booth, Stranahan High School and Miami Sunset High School ( for helping with our floor); and the endless support we received from the crowd.

WGI

After an exciting prelims performance, The Vella was very proud to make Semi-finals. Such an accomplishment was quite rewarding after the somewhat stress filled season The Vella endured. Although The Vella did not make finals in A class, the performers were very proud of each other, their staff and the unconditional support from our parents and sponsors. Without them, our season would not have been a success. Thank you to everyone for an UNFORGETTABLE season
